Reliving The 60’s On MLK Day

All our residents went through the turbulent sixties, a decade which left many indelible marks on the lives of Americans. This became apparent on Martin Luther King Day - 2021. The residents in our memory care unit celebrated by making peace doves and sharing their memories of Dr. King. And when we played Pete Seeger’s version of “We Shall Overcome” they all started spontaneously singing. It was a very moving moment.
